Hi. Just recently picked up a 73 F-100, 2wd, SB 390 factory air truck. It is mostly original with Motorcraft parts under the hood. It has duals and I noticed the mufflers are stamped with the Ford oval and the number 11265A on the casing. Is this a factory style muffler? I can't find that number in any of my catalogs.. Any help is appreciated. I am thinking of changing them to something with a little more throaty tone but wanted to see what type these are first. The appear to be a straight thru design.

Welcome to FTE
Dual exhausts were added by a previous owner. Dual exhausts were not available for F Series Trucks until the late 1990's, then in Lightning models only. Both pipes exited out the right (passenger) side.
Basic Ford part number for a muffler is 5230 / 11265A is not a Ford related number. Ford bought exhaust pipes, mufflers from Walker, so it's possible this is a Walker ID number.
