lift kit question

I am hoping someone can answer this for me. I just installed a skyjacker 6 inch lift on my 78 f250. It sits pretty nose high. Do they settle down after awhile? I am not using the factory rear blocks because i got new springs front and rear and the instructions said not to use the blocks if i wanted it to sit level. Should I wait awhile and see if the front end comes down or put the blocks back on? This is my first lift kit so any help will be appreciated.

It will settle, but it's hard telling exactly how much. My lifts always seemed to settle in a couple weeks while being driven daily.

I don't know, those skyjacker 6" use some robust front springs, I bet you will have an inch or so of settle, but I always had to run the factory 2.5" block in the rear, to keep things right. No block seems strange, no bump stop either.

Thanks. I haven't had the chance to drive it yet. I haven't changed over the steering yet. It sits a good 2 inches higher in the front. I think i will put the blocks back on and go from there.

Since you replaced both front and rear springs I would think they would settle about the same amount, so I think adding the blocks would be a good idea. You can always remove them if you have not achieved your desired ride height.
