engine light on
Hi folks
I have a 2012 sd 250 6.7l and I had my oil changed at Mr. Lube and after 2-3 days engine light came on, the only thing I could find was the oil level was too high 1/4 inch above the full mark on the stick. I drained 2 liters of oil out and the light went out so I thought they over filled the oil at Mr. Lube. The engine light stayed off until I had the oil changed at Ford Dealers and 2-3 days later the engine light back on again and the oil level is 1/2 inch high any one run into this before? could the old oil not be draining? with the new oil it is hard to see levels when they change it maybe over filling ? hard to believe dealer would do this.
Thanks in advance
ps anyone have their front end bottom out on small bumps at low temperature? mine does hard.

Couple of thoughts here:
Never...and I mean NEVER take your truck to the local quickie oil change place. Lots of these places don't know much about diesel engines and I've heard of the wrong oil and filter being used. Overfilling the crankcase can destroy your engine, and warranty won't cover it if this is the cause.
Secondly your truck should be under warranty, so I highly recommend taking it to the dealer and letting them fix it for free. There are literally thousands of things that can make a check engine light come on, and you paid for your warranty with the truck purchase.
