I'm happy but not surprised to see the Ford win the battle, but it would be interesting to see how the battle would have been had it been chained up to a new Duramax. Those older trucks, simply don't compare the power that the newer trucks have.

I would say the Traction control/ stabilitrac, and hill ascend(?) controls helped the Ford. At one point in the video, the guy in the Chebby was spinning away and the ford didn't even have the brakes on.
You cannot under estimate modern technology helping in these situations. The Ford didn't spin after all.
I agree, plus the locking rear helps out too in that case! Think its prolly safe to assume the Ford had those factory Michelin Tires so that vouches for there ability. I couldn't see the factory continentals getting that kind of bite in a situation, they seem to flat out suck at everything!
