Scanned my truck and this code came up. I did some research and I've come up with different answers. I know it's a exhaust pressure sensor. I've read it can be caused by cold starts, soot inside the tube, the sensor itself.
Is it harmful to the truck? I've cleared the code I don't think I've gone through a drive cycle yet but so far it hasn't come back yet. I'm hoping it was a cold start issue. But if its not what should be my next plan of action?
My understanding is that the EBP sensor affects the variable vanes on the turbo. I have also read that the PCM will see this pressure and add fuel which since it's not being burnt, it will decrease your fuel mileage. I bought the sensor from my local dealer yesterday for just under $100. Today I'm going to replace that as well as my ECT and EOT sensors.
