P0470 CEL

Hello all, got this code 2 days ago. CEL came on when I went to start it.

Should I be worried about it? After searching the forums, this seems like a pretty cheap dealer fix. Ok to drive until I can get it to the dealer? Is it a part I can just buy and install?

Thanks!

Well, used my code scanner to clear this code. Drove a few days and the CEL hasn't come back.

Should I investigate this code or not worry? Thanks.

That's for the exhaust back pressure sensor. It indicates a faulty sensor or PCM. Since the truck's running "ok" it's most likely not the PCM. I would think it's ok to drive, but you might check the connector and the EBP sensor tube that runs from the drivers side exhaust manifold TO the sensor and make sure it's clean and not plugged with soot. It's fairly easy to remove and clean.
