six speed conversion?
six speed conversion?
I have a 1990 7.3L F250 5 speed. I've been mulling over the idea of a 6 speed conversion (from a later Super-Duty etc). Has anyone done this? It seems like the lack of electronics, and the fact that my truck is already a manual would make that more or less a bolt-on conversion unless the shifter location became a problem. Has it been done before? If so, is it "do-able" or major PITA?
How about a 7.3 Powerstroke conversion? I'm guessing that gets a little more complicated due to electronics.
