I am working on a 69 F100 with manual steering. We converted it to a floor shift transmission (put in a ZF 5-speed) and want to put a correct floor shift steering column in it to do the job right (has a 3-on-the-tree column now). What years used the same column? I found a 70 floor shift column, but want to make sure it is the same as 69 before I get it.
Pretty sure some parts of the 70 column might be different but the whole thing should bolt up. I'm not sure when the part number changed on the turn signal switch, right in there somewhere so that might not be a plug and play. I have made them work by switching some of the wires around in the connector.

To do the job right, you do not need to change the steering column when swapping in a 4 speed! All you need is the steering column extension that takes the place of the 3 speed's shift collar.
C3DZ-3790-A .. Steering Column Extension-Use with 4 Speed = 1965/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1967/77 F100/350 // 1963/64 Galaxie / 1963/65 Falcon/Comet / 1965/66 Mustang with any A/T or M/T.
Obsolete, no one has any NOS, but 1,660,000 1965/66 Mustang's came with this extension, plus all of the others above, so it's not all that hard to find a user.

Here's the T/S switch info, but if you install the extension, the following is moot!
