Question Scanguage ?

Should the oil & water temp be the same when the engine is cold? My oil temp is about 2 degrees higher.

That's perfectly acceptable. Your sensors won't be perfect. They all have some margin of error "built in". Each sensor could be one degree off and give you a 2 degree margin of error and that's absolutely nothing. It could also depend on how long the engine sat unused.

As is mine..... I've been toying with the idea of swapping the sensors.....and leaving them that way. Just LOOKS better! LOL

Not sure this helps or makes it worse...

Keep in mind the temperatures are rounded...
61.4 might round to 61
62.6 might round to 63 when in fact they are only 1 degree off.
I think one reads < 100 with a decimal, while one doesn't.

The digital display is providing info from an analog device.
one, two, or three degress is all "close enough" - in the AM.
