ipod hookin/speakers

Just got a new ex and I want to be able to hook up my iphone to play music. I want a new headunit but i need to save up. Any suggestions on stuff in the meantime? also do any of yall use line out converters with subs?

I use a Navone Engineering 4ch line output convertor to run a 4ch amp for doors speakers, and an amp for subs. SQ is limited by the factory HU, not this LOC. I kept the factory 6-disc for this long, but it's about to go for something better.

can you plug an ipod into yours? or do you just use the cd changer

Edit: my dad just gave me an old headunit he has, so I can drop that in. Anyone know what dash kit or wiring harness to use on an alpine 9886 by chance?

If you have the stock dvd player in the back, you can plug your ipod into the inputs on the face of the dvd player. Not all trucks have the dvd setup though.
