I saw a power rear window on a truck yesterday that totally was awsome. The entire window slid down, not just the middle section. Unfortunately, it was on a different brand truck and the owner said it came on the truck. Does anybody know if there is an aftermarket rear power window like this available for an 01 F250? I've searched ebay and amazon as well as some aftermarket sites I assume the rear seat would need to moved forward slightly to accomodate the sliding mechanism.
Being in the auto glass biz myself I remember those units---as I recall they were quite pricey and a bear to install. I'm thinking they're no longer available due a general lack of interest.
Checking the CR Laurence site there's nothing listed other than horizontal power sliding rear windows. If you had a chance to look more closely at the unit you mention there might be a manufacturers name which would be helpful.
This was on a new Toyota Tundra. I've heard that GM is looking into including it as an option on their new trucks also. Do any of the other Ford products have an electric window that maybe you could cut the frame and surrounding metal out of and weld/fabricate into the back of the f250? Maybe an explorer or something?
