x2 with harte. It'll getcha by if you don't have the means to get the plate made. But..you truly won't be able to dial everything in until the heater plate is in place. You never know that..your engine may like it
Yes I would like to have it on my truck. F250 was making them before Christmas but I was too late with the p.m. Even before that but I never had the money to give him because of phone, college, insurance bills and now that I could've bought it I was too late. Don't you hate when that happens
Yes...i was supposed to buy one and couldnt get the funds or the arrangements made. Sucks..but whatcha gonna do? I'm in the same boat..college..insurance..phone..etc. Bill are a pain haha
You can always have a local machine shop make one up for you if there's one in your area. Buy a carb'd intake/exhaust gasket set and give them the little gasket that comes with it that goes in between the two. Have them stamp the steel out and then drill two threaded holes in it that are for pipe fittings.
From there, you can just buy plumbing supplies to finish it.
My '81 has the heated spacer and my '84 has the underside intake heat. The heated spacer works well enough, but it's ideal. The '84 with the underside intake heat is near perfect. The '81 bogs when it's cold out (worse and worse the colder it gets). The '84 drives the same in 10° to 100° weather.

I'm trying to remember how the stock intake was set up but on my Offenhauser, the two holes that are on the engine side of the intake go all the way through. Meaning, you run a long bolt through the intake and then put a nut on the other end.
The center hole that's on the fender side of the intake is threaded.
X2 with AB on the hole configuration. I'm making one myself..didn't get the holes exactly lined up though..bit it does fit. I'll just use washers and plenty of gasket sealer to make sure no leaks ensue
