Seems like a utility trailer (like this one) would fit the bill, but I'm guessing this one will need brakes, registration, (hours at the DMV), tax, etc. A nice guy selling it (he put it together):
''The trailer was made from a 1977 GMC 1 ton truck.
The rear end, brakes, suspension are all stock, it has 8 lug 16.5 in wheels, the pumpkin is in good condition.
The doors on the utility bed are all good, one is missing its lock, the top compartments also open up.
The bed was made by Harbor Fabrication Co in 1977, it has a diamond plate floor and other than needing paint it is in very good condition.
The step bumper is heavy-duty and has a 2" square reciver hitch built-in, the rear lights are also built-in.
I also have the front wheels from the truck w/tires, all the tires have good tread but are old.
I welded in a 2" ball coupler, so this is ready for use as is.
I will wire up the lights to match you tow vehicle if you need them.'', plus the price is pretty nice too.
It would need a cap of some sort, really not a fan of the shingle roof tops we see from time to time at the beaches.
My wife says property values would drop if that was in the driveway (
) and she has a point...but we're not in a highfalutin' 'hood. To keep peace, i'd need to rent a space nearby.Am I missing anything else in the equation? (other than GMC
)thanks.
And a quick paint job to match the Ex would be all it needs to raise those darn property values, maybe add some pinstriping. Seriously though, if that is what you are looking for i would jump on it. Especially if the price is right. However, I don't know how you would convert the brakes to electric to get them to work.Jim
