Happy 4th Tom! Just got done cleaning up the crown vic, and I believe our plans are to rehydrate later on with some cold adult beverages.
Fireworks at Misquamicut tonight, not sure if we're going to go though.

im off to wire up my buddies lift and then off to the summer nationals at the new location. I dont know how well it will be, Thompaon has some big boots to fill as greenhill park was a great park to have the show in.

Well gang, the weekend is over and its time to go back to work.
The weekend was eventful, we had gone to the summer nationals at thompson speedway on saturday. It was a good crowd, but it wasnt as big of a crowd like u have seen at the worcester location. Thompsons big draw is the use of the track for spectator drags, burn outs and the stunt shows. The venue has allways had the local track feel with junk piled up in various places around the track. Once thompson spends some big money on track, grounds, and sound improvements they will draw bigger and bigger crowds.
Sunday was spent in my buddies new garage wiring up the new lift and running the wiring for the new compressor.
All in all a great productive weekend.

I have heard a number of reasons as to why the venue changed.
anything from Worcester wouldn't give the people throwing the event permission to serve alcohol, Worcester was getting tired of the spectators taking over the town, and as simple as the limitations of Green hill park for vehicle related spectator events.

I suspect there's more behind it than what's being said, but at least both shows were a success. Gotta admit, I had only been to the Worcester show a couple of times, but the hills sucked!

Tuesday is upon us.
Looks like the temp is going to be down a few degrees this week.
Maybe i will be able to drive one of my antiques....i hate to drive them when its so hot out....no a/c is no fun.
