No, I need you out here to help me expand my machine shop! No other for a 100 mile radius. Talk about having a lock on all the work around here..........
My brother-in-law spent last week down here, and is seriously considering selling his house in Tacoma and buying a house and shop up here. He was amazed with the potential here, and would like to be a part of it.
I truly love living here. No crime, no drug gangs, everybody works, the whole community comes together to help those that need help. Hell, our highschool still has shop classes!
I wonder where Pat is? I sent him a note last night that my brother-in-law sent the cab parts he needed and haven't heard back from him..........
His wife got operated on yesterday. He said he would be back later today
Checked the truck, the gasket failed. I have to pull the plenum. Going to get parts first, I need the truck for the weekend, and a smokey truck is better than no truck!
Don and Charlie, I'd like to modify the '90 but with DEQ (emission testing) I'm not sure it would pass. In fact, it's sitting in the driveway now because it wouldn't pass this last round and I don't even know where to begin to fix it.

If you don't have a code reader, you can short it and get the light to blink
On the driver fender there is a connection for the scanner. Pull it and the single wire out of the box it fastens in
hook a pigtail wire from the single wire to ground
Go in and turn the key on, watch the check engine light.
It will flash 1-1. it will do that twice.
11 is system check, start of scan
It will then flash the codes. count the flashes, then a pause, then it flashes the next set. It will do this twice
so it will be like. blink blink blink pause blink blink pause then repeat. That would be code 32
Once you get the codes, post them up, and I will tell you what they are, and how to fix it

Apparently I need to get a better shop manual. I never knew about this procedure. I know that there is an old school test port on the truck on the driver's inner fender well but had no idea how to use it.
I'm thinking that it's a sensor that is faulty but just didn't know where to start looking. The poor truck only has 65K on it. I hardly ever drive it anymore. It needs a fair amount of work to be completly reliable. I just don't have the money to sink into it right now.

Too bad your not closer. I have a code reader right here......
I'm back guys. Got Rob calmed down and Kathy can rest a bit.
Tiny, another nice thing about living over here? NO EMISSIONS CRAP!
DEQ, who?
I know, right! We've got property in Tillamook County. I've thought about switching the registration to that address. But I think it would just be a hassle.
The other side of the issue is that the truck hasn't been running right for a while now. I just need to scrape together some cash and fix it.
