I seem to have lost 2 settings on my heater/defrost switch. The fan only blows heat on high. There is no noise from the fan on low or medium.
I'm wondering if the problem lies in behind the dash as the 'blower motor' still works on high.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
In my 05 truck it had the same thing that it only blow on high setting and it was the resistor.
Simple fix, if it similarly placed..
Look at the blower motor in the engine bay area (passenger side), there will be a small wire harness going to something the size of 1.5" x 3" approximately, unplug the wire harness, unscrew the 2 screws holding the resistor on change it as simple as that.
I let my go for a couple of years before finding the problem on the the forum and it was actually burnt/ corroded pretty bad and the fix was way to easy to let it go that long.
Will do. Just have to find a garage to work on it.
??
It's a less than 5 minute job even in the rain.
All you need is a step stool and a nut driver.
Just use the drive through of a bank a few hours
after they close or on the weekend.
