Does anyone know where I might be able to get a rubber bed mat for a '56 F-100?
I just want something to protect the wood and slides if I haul anything in the bed. Looking for something that can be rolled out then easily removed. Something similar to ones sold for newer trucks
Thanks
Check your local Tractor Supply. They sell a rubber mat that is 4'x6' for $50. It's 1/2" or 3/4" thick though...may be heavier than what you are looking for.
You could pick a plastic factory still liner up at a scrap yard cheap and cut to fit your box. Places the spray bed liner usually have a pile of them they can't get rid of. I threw mine away at the dump a few years ago because no one wanted it.

Yeah, I use the stuff from Tractor Supply. You need something pretty heavy so the wind doesn't blow it out going down the road.
They'll cut you a custom length off a roll and only charge you for what you get.
I cut an old Ford script rubber mat from an eight foot bed truck that I sold years ago and sized the mat to fit the 6 1/2' bed of my '07 F150. Similar procedure should work for one of these old trucks. Use cardboard as a template. I've seen bed mats in parts yard trucks when I go scrounging.

This is what I was thinking when I posted earlier. Cheap
