Don't think any one makes bed liners for these old trucks. I can't even a bed mat that will fit. Have you though about that rhino liner or linex. Cost is about the same and you don't have stuff slidding around in the bed like those plastic liners. I thinl the bed design is pretty unique to the 67-72's.
Fordboy, you can use a bed mat from a mid '80's Dodge with just a little trimming.
The bedliners another story. I saw one in a '71 parked at Kragen a couple years ago with the name "Star" embossed on it, never found out any more about it.
Well, I want a bedliner because it would hide the dents on the wheel well in the cab. Is there a way to fix this cheep?
The truck looks prety decent (original body/paint) except for the bed. Check it out.
Only easy fix I could matbe think of is cutting out the old ones and reforming some new sheet metal in there. Or get the dents out as best you can and a generous layer of bondo, then sand. You could get a decent shape out of it. The I would go with the rhino liner. Rhino liner is tougher than paint and almost like adding armor to your truck.
I'm thinking of rhino linning the inside of my truck since it always gets muddy.
Also if you try and pound them out have a friend with a 3/4 piece of plywood in the bed holding it on the area you are going to reform. Then use a wood mallet or a ball pen and start hitting away. A wood mallet works best for a good finish but takes more effort. Also helps to take off the rear tire. When you get the rhino linning in it wont look so bad as with the highlighted rust spots to make the dents stand out. You can top off the side rails with some of those fancy crhome gaurds to seperate the black from the green.
SOunds alittle easier than trying to find a bed liner not to mention cheaper.
