I put a new selinoid on (on the passenger fender under hood) when i took the wires of i forgot which went were exactly can anyone tell be which is the positive first of all is it the one closest to the winshield and if it gets hooked up wrong will the starter turn at all. I think I have them right but the reason I did it in the first place was because the starter clicked and it is only a few weeks old and the last one I put on I had to tap it with a hammer (or at least that is what i think made it turn)so this new one also had to be tapped this week to start. Now i tapped 100 times and no start and then got amy boy to turn while i watched and i saw sparks coming from the winding i guess. Is the selinoid being wrong capable of that or is the starter bad......................I know what a ******* right but please advise
