I know this is not exactly V-10 related but i have to vent somehow! My beautiful 2008 Lariat Crew cab V10 was totally dent-less till today. I went to bass pro shop to get some last minuet stuff for rifle round reloading with my dad and brother in law, I parked in the absolute very back of the lot no other vehicles several spots to either side of me. Go in and shop for a bit, and then when i get back to the truck there is a huge crease in the passenger side of the box in front of the wheel well. Someone really let loose with their door, no way they could not of noticed! Why did they park by my truck? Why did they not at least leave a note or something? Anyone know if crease type dents will even come out? So aggravated, how much money does paint less dent removal cost? Thanks guys.
I am no expert on bodywork, but from what I do know the paintless dent removal only works on bubble or "push" dents. If it's a crease dent, it will have to be pounded out, bondo-ed and repainted.
I once was sitting in Walmart's parking lot waiting for the wife to finish shopping. I watched as a guy parked his very nice BMW in the back of the lot and walked in. About 10 minutes later 2 guys about 19-20 in an old beater truck parked right next to him and as the driver opened his door, he slammed it into the BMW, not once, not twice but 3 times he did this. I drove over to the guys, took my cell phone and shot a picture of their truck, including license plate, close proximity to BMW and then drove a short distance away and called police. The young men left but the cops got a full report from me, I emailed the pictures to the PD and spoke with the owner of the BMW. Turns out he was a lawyer and pressed charges against the guys who were arrested about 2 hours later. I was called to testify but didn't have to as the guys plead it out and paid for the repairs to the BMW, which I heard was about $1800.

paintless dent repair will work.....you may have to have "real detailer" use an airbrush to cosmetically address any minro paint issues, but I understand...and yeah, it's fixable.
This is one of those posts that really hits close to home with me. My Dad is one of the most respectful people you'd ever meet when it comes to other people's cars. To save his own vehicle, he parks waaaay out in no-man's land. Yet a few years ago he came out from the store to find his nearly new truck scarred all the way down the passenger's side with screwdriver or something, right down to bare metal. What do people get from that? Props to Sparky for doing the right thing, I wish there were more people like him!

LOVE THIS. I was in an accident where a person behind me was rear ended and slammed into me. When I exited my truck (newer F150 at the time) I noticed the guy slammed into my draw bar and the other car slammed into him. As we talked we approached the driver who had caused this whole debacle. She got out of her car and in a frantic panic offered us to meet her at her place where she could give us cash. Both of us said "Um no we already called the police". She freaked out an started to hop in her car. I stepped in front of it and looked at the license plate. It was an easy to remember vanity plate. She started her car and nearly ran me over. The other guy involved and myself just watched in disbelief as she drove away. The cops showed just seconds after she left and we gave the plate to them. Within another minute a guy in an Navigator was yelling to me. He handed me a piece of paper with the address of where this car drove off to!!! He said he witnessed the whole thing and chased her down. Gave me his name and # if I needed any witnesses. Gave it to the cops and sure enough she was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries as a passenger complained of some bad neck pain. Glad that guy followed her. Turned out she had a suspended license and a previous DWI. Worlds full of losers.......
That is why i love my 2-way alarm. If anything triggers it, all hell breaks loose(sirens and horns) and it shows me on my remote. I've it happen to where once the alarm started blaring, people that started looking when i came out told me exactly what happened and who did it.
Two way alarm sounds interesting now, got the estimate from a well liked / known body shop around here, they say it will need the whole panel to be painted and it will run about $450-$500. Such is the story of my life.... Thanks for all the feed back btw!
Someone did this to my truck except I dont think it was a door. I think they hit it with there front bumper either pulling in or pulling out. When I took my truck in it was about 1600 buck because it was part of the cab lower pass side and the bed. They said it would need paint also because they scraped it.
Yes it sucks when this happens, I'm sure we all had it happen or will have it happen to us. I like to think that they'll get theirs one day we just don't get the pleasure of witnessing it.
Similar story only I was in Mesa, AZ and parked my just washed and waxed, totally dolled out 2008, and came out of the Fry's and there was this monster crease from the back side of my passenger rear wheel well up to my Ranch-hand bumper. Too bad they missed my bumper. Anyway, I took it to 3 paintless outfits that said, because the dent included where the fender mated to the frame, they couldn't do the repair. I finally found 2 tatooed dudes that thought they could fix it "on the side". No problem, I said, and they took 2 hours and 2 six packs but got it done as good as I think could have been accomplished. Unless you really look, you can't tell. No telling how good a job they would have done with whiskey.
thats why i will drive around until i get a front parking spot. then park half on the curb leaving one one side next to another car/truck and since i'm about 2-3ft over on the curb it has saved me so far.
