Thanks Dan! We enjoyed sitting down to dinner with you also. Glad we got the opportunity to do it, and I certainly hope we can do it again some time. Maybe get the families together this spring or summer!
It went alright. It was very brief. They said that they generally do two interviews, and that this was the first. They do this one to sort of get to know the prospects. They said they'll let me know one way or the other whether I'll advance to the second. I should know something in a week or two.

Well to you not getting turned away immediately! Sometimes a maybe is the best you get at the time.
I try to tell my gf that when she tries making plans 6 weeks in advance. lol
What is your gut feeling about the first encounter?
I don't know. The fact that it was so brief leads me to believe that I did poorly. I started out rough because I was nervous and I'm a pretty introverted guy, but I felt like I was doing pretty well by the end of it.
The guy who was doing the interview seemed really unprepared. He started the interview about ten minutes late, even though I arrived a hair early for the scheduled time. He kept asking questions that I kind of thought were stupid and meaningless.
But, I got my questions answered. I asked them if they theoretically hired me, what sort of position they would put me on, and it seemed like something I can handle. They said that they would make sure I they weren't going to put me in a situation where I would be in over my head. Then, I asked what the started pay would be, and the money's right for me right now.
On another note, I know a guy who works for this company at a different location, and he said not to worry, and that he should have warned me that they might half-*** that interview. He also said he's going to try to pull some strings for me. We'll see. I'm still optimistic, but prepared in case this doesn't work out.
I almost didn't want to post that because I figured I'd catch some flak for that on a Powerstroke board. If you're curious, Aaron, it's Wright and Stemle there on 62. The guy that interviewed me knows my family and at least one of my references, so we'll hope that's a good thing, lol.
I figured as much with where you live and all. That would be convienent also.
I was being sill with the green vs red thing. Honestly,I just love tractors.
It just worked out to have the red I have lol.
I hope it works out...what ever it takes to get your self ahead! If I can ever help out you just holler.I know enough people I should be able to at least help someway.
Next weekend Im painting the blue topper to match the truck...watch out!
