waterpumps
Hi guys. Just a quick question. Has anyone used the aluminum waterpump from Flowkool? I am wondering if it is ALL made in the USA or is it made in China? If it's made in China I will forget about it as I have bought parts that were made there and found they are absolute junk. Popa John

Years ago when FlowKooler first showed up, late '80s it was .... I bought a kit from them that was a simple round disc about the same diameter as the water pump impeller, it had three 1/8" holes equally spaced around a larger middle hole and it fit flush to the impeller and the three supplied pop rivets attached it (after drilling three holes in the turned up edge of the vanes to match).
The disc and rivets were stainless steel. The purpose was just to stop the coolant from spilling off the back of the vanes as easily thus increasing moved volume of coolant at any given RPM.
The kit also included a Robert Shaw High Performance style 333-180 Thermostat ... I later swapped in a RS 333-195 version as I recall.

That was before FlowKooler came out with their own waterpumps, but it has served me well. Cured my heating issues I was having in summer with AC on. If / when I swap in a new water pump, I''ll just drill out the rivets and reuse.
I know, not the question asked, but it occurred to me that maybe it's of of use?
