E Brake Cable Too Short
I had to replace the intermediate cable on the F350. According to the VIN # my truck has a 172" wheel base. I laid the new cable next to the broken old cable and they are the same. The problem is that it is about an inch too short so I cannot connect the intermediate to the front cable. I made sure the pedal was all the way up and even had a helper try to pull the brake cable toward the front. But even though he was bale to pull about 1/4" it was not enough to make the connection.
Where can I buy a cable stretcher?

Pull on the cable coming from the peddle. The peddle has a lash adjustment mechanism in it. You should be able to pull the cable out from the peddle side around 1.5". I just had to do the same exact thing two days ago. But I used cable from the hardware store because ford is crazy.
