I have a 2005 F350 diesel, 54000 miles. I was at a red light today, engine is idling normaly.. light turns green and I step on the throttle and get nothing. My truck is rolling (in drive) as if it were in nuetral. I shut the engine off and it does not start for 10 to 15 min. Then it fires up and seems to be running as if nothing happened. Anyone have the same experience?

Welcome to FTE cripplerj5 Can you explain the No Start a little more as in turned over or just dead? Just throwing this out there, adjustable pedals? Are you the original owner? Any history on the Snap to Connect fitting involving the high pressure pump?
I am not the original owner, just purchased a this last summer. Have zero issues with it until now. The engine would turn over, just not fire until after about fifteen minutes. No adjustable pedals.
I had my Tow/Haul wire replaced, the transmission had a mind of its own, doubt if that would cause a No Start. Do you have any other related No Start when Hot or is this your first...incident? Pointing toward the high pressure Snap to Connect fitting.
One other concern, we are working with a perfectly stock truck?
I had a similar problem. Would start cold idle, push accelerator...nothing, injectors would go quiet until I let off. After engine started warming up, IPR % would start to climb until it max'd out @ 83 %. IPC would drop to 450 then wouldnt restart till after it cooled some. Failing HPOP was the cause. Oh, and if I did hold the pedal down it would push black smoke also. If your fuel pressure and pedal are ok, then I would start looking for a HPO leak somewhere.
The scangauge2 or other odb2 plug in gauge devices are essential preventative as well as diagnostic tools. It will allow you to monitor everything in the engine that is readable.
Only fuel pressure and exhaust gas temps are not monitored by the computer. Autozone.com is a good source.
