Yep, except that filter doesn't have a bypass.

Oh crap... How can that work with diesel oil, especially 15W40?

What filter is this? I have experience with the Deere 750C Series II dozers that use 10w30 for the hydraulics and transmission and used full flow, non-bypass filters. Needless to say when the temps were below 40 or so the filters constantly blew and leaked until a normal bypass filter was cross-referenced and used in their place.

This is the link he posted over on PSN.

https://www.cantonracingproducts.com...Filters/2.html

I'm not sure exactly which filter he has in mind, but they're all relatively similar with the exception of capacity. They look like good filters, but that missing info on the cold oil flow rate would have me concerned if this was my project.

IMHO I don't trust cleanable filters or the use of screens for engine oil.

I would find an equivalent thru Baldwin, Fleetguard or Donaldson.

Most likely to find a full-flow non-bypass is to look at hydraulic applications.

They say the true measure of a person's intelligence is how much they agree with you. To that end, I think you're pretty damn smart. LOL

That was one of the items being debated with IPR. The WIX filter they're using is a full flow hydraulic filter, but has no bypass. IPR configured their own bypass (set around 16 psi). The bigger issue was that WIX said the filter being used isn't a suitable replacement for the FL-2016 from a flow rate perspective.
