I have been able to decode most everything else, but I am curious about whether this DSO code might have been a single or fleet order with what I have found or not found on the truck

the badge on the fender under the F250 badge is wasted with no shadow of the previous applicque while the dash does ID this as a CUSTOM
The best way to find out exactly how your truck was ordered is to get a "Marti Report" www.martiauto.com
The emblem below the "F250" means your truck was either a "Trailer Special" or a "Camper Special".
The 6 digit DSO code means it was special ordered and not bought off the lot. It could have been either a one off or a fleet order.
On the 6 digit DSO, the first two are the district where it was orderd. The last four digits are used by the dealers to order whatever special parts the truck was equipped with. The dealer would call Ford with the four digit number and Ford could look up what ever was needed .
BTW Nice looking truck.
yeah, it has the Western mirrors, but I cant find any holes or marks to show a camper hold-down kit was in it and no markings on the trailer hitch to id manuf. It did make it from Seattle to Fl

Ford did not offer trailer hitches. The optional step bumpers (chrome or painted) had a depression in the center for the license plate and a hole for a trailer hitch ball.
I cannot tell from the pic if the step bumper is genuine Ford or not, but it's sagging like an old nag. Factory step bumper brackets were notorious "weak sisters" .. A slight tap on the bumper caused it to sag.
The tie downs on the bed are not genuine Ford, neither are the styled wheels.
martiauto.com has ALL the records for 1967/79 FoMoCo vehicles. FoMoCo has none of this info any longer, as they were planning to THROW IT ALL AWAY in the late 1980's.
Kevin Marti, a Mustang/Shelby 'nut' located in Phoenix AZ found out about FoMoCo's plan and got ALL of it.
