I have an aluminum bed cap for my 2000 F250 CC short bed. My 2013 F350 CC short bed arrived today. Are the bed dimensions the same? Will this cap fit my new truck? I think it is a Leonard brand. Thank you.
Leonard/Leer has a tool on their website to see which caps fit your truck. First put in the specs on the old truck, see what fits it, and write it down. Then repeat for the new truck. If the lists are the same, then of course it will fit.
I had a similar issue with a bedliner that came in my new truck that I needed to remove. It was NOT the same as the one that was called for in my old truck. The difference is in a few bumps and features in the corners - but it was close enough that I jammed it in there! This was with the long beds, but I think the same would hold true for you.
Thanks, Hoaty. It is not a liner, it is a cover or cap.
Which should make it easier, since the contours inside the bed won't matter.
When I looked at the Leonard site, it looked like the 99-2008 or so were the same. I've closed the window already. Anyhow, things like body style made a difference, and I didn't have that info.
I think all the box lengths are the same - either short or long, but consistent for many years about how long each one is. Width may be the issue. The Leonard website should help.
Thanks Roller, the tail gate "lip" prevents the back window from closing all the way. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get around that. Maybe lifting the rear just enough?
