Navigator Buying Guide
Hello all,
I'm looking to purchase a Navigator some time this summer and have been doing some research. So far I know I want a 2003 - up for the fold flat rear seats. Beyond that I'm looking for some input.
Here's what I'm finding as far as engine and trans configurations
2003 - 2004 - 5.4 DOHC 4V w/ 4R100
2005 - 2008 - 5.4 SOHC 3V w/ ZF 6hp26
What's the preferred configuration? Is the 3V and ZF better for anything over the 4V and 4R100.
I'd like this truck to replace my current truck and my town car. The current truck just doesn't get used as a truck much at all. The navigator may see a rented trailer behind it once or twice a year picking up stuff for around the house. The town car is my daily driver.
Family is growing and we are going to be road tripping to visit family. Thought the navigator would provide room for a road trip and still be able to pick up stuff from the hardware store.
Also, is there a buying guide for checking out a used one of these? I know there is a great one for the superdutys that lists all the things to check. But I haven't found one for the navigators.
