currently nothing is off my engine. I have a spare pump i would like to put on but it was removed with the timing gear. can i unbolt my old pump the proper way and simply bolt up my new pump??

 

Yes, just unbolt the new pump form the timing gear and swap it in. Same as if you had a new pump without the gear attached. You need a 12-point to get the bolts loose.

 

10 mil is it?

 

Either 10 mm or 3/8" I can't remember which, but since you have a pump out, its pretty easy to test both and whichever fits tightest.

 

take pics. anyone swap with the lines still on the pump? i did my pump a few years ago and dont remember.

 

^i watched a video of a guy do that, but he pulled the pump with the cover. To keep it aligned it took the oil fill neck off and marked the internal part against the gear cover. U know if your off if your marks dont line up!
