What radiator cap?

The original motorcraft cap on the truck had cracked seals and was leaking. I bought a cheap one (I think it was 5 or 6 bucks) at oreilly auto and it leaks worse than the original one. The oreilly one feels real cheesy like its made of a tin can.

What caps are people running? Should I just order one at the dealership?

Thanks.

OEM isn't terribly expensive. That's what I put on mine.

Anyone know what store has the stant? I really don't like going to the local dealership.

Never mind, found one on the Napa site. I'll stop in after work and hopefully it will be better than the oreilly one.

thanks

Mine is 13lbs. Just went out to the truck and checked. It's a new cap direct from Tousley Ford (my favorite online parts people), and they didn't offer me any options when I called.

Actually, it looks like 'RS-62' IS the Part Number, although I cannot find any information on whether that really is the OEM cap for my truck. Here's the tech data on it from RockAuto:

More Information for MOTORCRAFT RS62

Like I said, all I did was call up Steve at Tousley Ford and tell him I needed a rad cap for my truck and this is what arrived. Seems to be working fine.....
