I did figure it out. One US gallon = 3.78 liters. 1.25 per liter times 3.78= 4.72 per US gallon. It's always at the front of my mind when I'm at the pump.
Plus, the exchange is so close it really makes no difference.

Gee, and I remember working as a teen at the Esso station when regular gas was .49 cents a Canadian gallon, and our gallon is bigger than your U.S. gallon. And diesel was even cheaper because not that many around at the time.
In a few years it might cost 3, 4, or even 500 bucks to fill up a regular size tank.
HAHA...good call guys. I was kidding anyway...it would be hard to drag me away from Colorado, love this place!
You're telling me...I'm a US born and bred and I lived in Steamboat for a few years. Summered in Colo. and wintered in Arizona.
I like it here too, it's just quite different in Ontario. (Expensive)

I don't even try to round it off at the pump to the nearest dollar or 10 cents. Squeeze the pump just a bit and it goes up 12 cents. I just do the first shut off and that is it. I read that you save $ that way as when the pump first shuts off, it runs back a bit and you lose a few cents every time that happens.
