Bed Liner Questions??

I want to get a bed liner for my new 2012 F350, I have been looking at the spray in liners but I hate the price of them. If I were to go with a traditional drop in bed liner what would you suggest? I am weary about having the drop ins without a cap or toneau cover because of water etc. laying under it. I will eventually have one or the other to keep the bed dry... I even thought about the bed rugs but not sure about them either. Looking for input on anything?? Thanks in advance!

I am a line x loyalist. But, if I did not get line x, I would get a bed rug product.

I got a spray in liner for my 2012 long box and it cost $400. Small cost compared to the sticker price of my new truck. How much is a drop in liner? $200? Spend a little more and do it right!

Agree, for the cost of the truck,400 for bedliner is a drop in the bucket and is superior to drop in liner IMO.I actually negotiated the line x with my dealer when I bought the truck for 200....But still wouldve paid 400 after the fact if I had to for sure.

My dealer wanted to charge me $200 for the Ford drop in liner. I told him at order I did not want one that I was getting a Line-x. He still put it in and gave me a bill for the $200. He ended up taking it out and the Line-x was $480 here in MI. Only $280 more for 100 times the protection and better look, lifetime warranty too.

If you don't want some type of cover then take that money you would spend and get a spray in liner, you will be happy you did.

Line-X isn't cheap, but you will love the product. I love mine.

When I purchased my truck I told them I wanted a bed liner as part of the deal for free, and I did that after we agreed on a price. They were going to install a drop in but I have the cable lock for the back of the truck bed, and at least at that time, i don't know about now, you could not install a drop in with the lock installed. So they said sorry about your luck you don’t get a bed liner. I then told them either they can do a spray in liner for free or I am bringing the truck back because it was in the contract that I get a bed liner, and at that point I had already registered the truck so they would have to sell it as used when they resold it. They agreed to the linex liner and boy am I glad I ended up with a spray in, it’s awesome. Also for those worried about when they haul real heavy loads you can always throw in a cheap rubber matt for the truck bed.

I have contacted 2 different line x dealers in my area, both were around $500 and that didn't include the UV protection to keep it from fading... It is gonna cost me close to %600 plus a day of my time and the fuel to get there, they are both around 30 miles away. I know that's not a big deal but when you start adding it all up together...

Try to offer cash to get the price down.
Also, I didn't get the UV protection. A year later it has slightly faded but I don't care that it isn't as shiny as it was when new, as long as it's protected.

I'm a fan of Line-x My 6.7 is the fist time I've had it. I've also had Rhino and Reflex liner. The rubbery sticky liners are a PIA and the peel off. The Line-x Has held up well I opted for the UV coating and so far no fade.

The dealer paid for the spray as part of the deal. They wouldn't go down on the truck price any more but they gave me the line x and cab lights. I had to pay an extra 100 out of pocket for the UV protection. I think the standard liner goes for $400-$450 but I could be wrong. Great product though I would recommend to anyone.

I dont have anything in my current truck but in my last truck I had the bed rug and a soft top bed cover. I loved the bed rug . never stained never molded. When it got dirty you could wash it out with a hose.
