I dont have anything in my current truck but in my last truck I had the bed rug and a soft top bed cover. I loved the bed rug . never stained never molded. When it got dirty you could wash it out with a hose.
What about using it without a cover and how about dirt etc getting in the sides? Is it a pain to pull all that out and clean?

@ gobblin tom- i would never really hadhad it uncovered for more than maybe a week at a time. When i did have iy uncovered it fared well with 110 degree days and rain. Cleanning process for me was either vacuum in place or pull out and wash with a hose and spray nozel. I had it Velcro in but i have also seen them screwed in. All the seems overlap. Only reason why i didnt get one for my new truck is as you see in the picture i have a toolbox and headache rack. Hope i answered all your questions.
I have a 12-year-old Line-X spray in liner in my current F250 and it has held up extremely well. I've had a 3500# Lance camper in and out of it for 10 of those years and have hauled countless loads of gravel, dirt, barkdust, pallets of heavy stuff slid over it and it still looks good, no damage. As soon as my '13 gets here it will get Line-X'd on the way home from the dealer. It's a good investment IMHO.
I wouldn't have anything but Line-X. I've used them for every truck I've owned and never had an issue. The drop in liners literally do more harm than good. They scratch the paint in the bed, hold moisture underneith the liner, and then you will have rust problems in your bed.
As far as price, you have some options. For one, Line-X will match the price if you find another spray in that's cheaper..so call around, get quotes, have Line-X match the best price. Second, most Ford dealerships will have a Line-X partner they use to spray their trucks. I had my salesman call Line-X and they gave me Ford's price. I paid $275 (plus tax) for my Line-X. I have a CC short bed.

Hope this helps.
My dealer uses Rhino Guard and they dont get a discount either....
Yeah, that stinks. I know the local Line-X here gives a discount for veterans if you ever served. I'd shop around and they will haggle to an extent too...especially if you live near a bigger city with competition. Good luck!

The two I have to chose from are about 30 miles each way....

I have Line-X in my '08 but am considering a '13. May I ask why you didn't get the Ford factory spray-in?
I want to get a bed liner for my new 2012 F350, I have been looking at the spray in liners but I hate the price of them. If I were to go with a traditional drop in bed liner what would you suggest? I am weary about having the drop ins without a cap or toneau cover because of water etc. laying under it. I will eventually have one or the other to keep the bed dry... I even thought about the bed rugs but not sure about them either. Looking for input on anything?? Thanks in advance!
No one believes me when I tell them about do it your self liners and how good they are. The latest I used on my 2011 f350 is Monsta liner. It's a 2 part system that's strong. The one with no silicon anti slip. I have a rubber mat. I've used Gator Guard on 2 past trucks and is good also except it has silicon no slip in it. It cost $100 for short box and can be rolled on or sprayed with a $30 undercoat from BB systems.
It has held up perfectly for over 2 years with sliding a truck camper in and out, carrying furniture for a living all the time, gravel you name it. My truck gets' worked..
The owner of Monsta liner gives A1 service.
