Hey guys. Sorry to bother you all, but I'm really stuck here and thought this might be a place I could find some help. For years I've dreamed of finding a truck the same year as the one my grandfather drove and fixing it up. Problem is, nobody in the family even remembers what year the thing was. I went through three boxes of old pictures today, and this is the best one I came up with. It's a terrible pic so you guys might not be able to help, but I had to give it a shot. Hope I'm in the right place for this, I think it's 1977 or so, hopefully I chose the right forum. Thanks in advance!
Well, sorry, guys. I've used Dropbox to share a hundred images in forums over the years, but can't get it to work on this one. If someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong it'd be great, but otherwise I'll just get out of here and leave you all alone! Sorry.
It's an early Dentside given the emblem on the fender rather that the cowl. My 73/74 is the same. 'Not sure of the year split but I know my extremely knowledgeable fellow FTE'ers will chime in and tell us.
Amber turn signal lense....
I played with the image in Photoshop and couldn't generate enough contrast to ID the grill style... plus that friggin tree is in the way.
Thanks for the advice, guys, think I finally got it up there. Photobucket was the trick!
I wish I remembered more about it since the pic is such low quality, but I was a little guy and all I recall is that it was three on the tree. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks again, you guys are way friendlier than the sports forums I usually post on!
I know, guys, that tree is killing me. I must have looked through a thousand pictures today and this was the only decent view of it, so I guess I was lucky to find it. But I knew you guys would want to see that grill!
Im going to toss my lot in with the 73-75 era. F-100 or F-150 swb... 2wd? Im not sure what engines came with the 3spd standard, i dont think the 6cyl was offered in half tons until later on, but i could be off on that. Good luck on finding a 3 on the tree, from my experience theyre pretty rare.
