That IH reminds me of two of the farm trucks my extended family had back in the '60's and 70's.
My FIL had a early 50's IH...former municipal dump (DRW) truck, which he modified with 3/4 inch plywood fastened onto the sides...braced by a center chain...all on the dump box. It was used as a grain truck and had the IH Black Diamond truck six. Think IH had the name Black Diamond for their truck engines before the cheese company used the name for their cheddar cheese.
Also we had a one ton '48 Fargo pickup...similar to the IH in the advert. It had the same plywood sides as the IH...to increase the grain carrying capacity...the box had an electric box hoist.
Four speed, Bull low and the old Mopar flathead six...same engine used in the original Dodge Power Wagon.
IH had black silver and green diamond motors. The chrsyler 6 was a great little plant that dated back into the 30s and was being used industrially into the late 70s
