I can imagine that your sway bar is different with an F250. I have a 4" lift on my 93 F150 and I added sways for street handling. I was able to lower the front mount by 2" and move the stock links under the sway bar instead of over it, works great.
Soft springs and no sway bars makes for a bunch of body roll. Most lifts involve stiffer springs so it's not a problem. Nobody's gonna die, just slow down more in the corners if you have more body roll.
I have a 1988 f150 it has all stock suspension and yesterday evening I got the wild hair to take my sway bar off. After 15 minutes looking for my "sway bar" I gave up and came back inside. Now after reading this thread, I'm pretty Shure my truck didn't have a sway bar from the factory? Could this be why the front end of my truck pushes to bad in corners when I'm trying to drift it?
These trucks are not "drifters" so stop before you endanger everyone on the road further. Especially if you are planning on killing your sway bars. My F150 is a Custom and it did not come with any, my 89 Bronco is a custom and does have them.
Look for a bar that goes from one side of the truck to the other. It connects at the frame on each side and at the end of the axle near the wheels at each side.
I never drift around other vehicles, houses, or people. And I never have anybody with me in the truck. It's always out of town on roads I know and corners that I can see around clearly and almost always have a spotter stay from the truck telling me if there is trafic. I have thought about those "what if situations" that's why I never do it around otheres. But being that my truck doesn't have a from sway bar could that be part of the reason that she pushes so bad in corners sometimeS?
Could be I spose. Is this a 4x4 or 2WD rig? Lifted/lowered? Size tires and wheels?
If you drive on the street then I would look into getting some off a junkyard rig. If this ever is going to be an offroading toy then nah don't worry bout em.
Prerunning is fun, higher class kind of off roading IMO. Maybe look into it to get your off-roading and speed fix?

Uh, thank you for being safe and all while "drifting" but I don't suggest doing it with a truck. Kinda top-heavy for that kind of thing. But hey, as long as you don't endanger anyone else, it's your truck... do as you wish.
