You can see how the light is blinding to people in the first shot...I bet you get people flashing their lights at you a lot! I agree HID lights would be great for driving lights especially ones you could put a yellow filter on for the fog...but projector style would make the light more useable.

6000k in projector, 8000k in foglight. if the foglights are aimed properly they will not blind people. they are meant to shine about 10-15 in front of the truck. not to light up the tree line.

I just saw these lights on a website...I was reading about someone that did retrofits as a hobby and he has a website for this. He also retrofits the fog lights to HID projectors!

I have read the same thing. There are a few different people that do the retrofits. My brother is about to do his own

I have read where even high end cars are purposely only using 2-3,000k fog lamps because of the yellowish color. I personally always use my driving lights on my Sequoia.

Here is another person making the adaptive harness on eBay:

Excuse me if I sound ignorant here but can someone give me more info on the specific bulb to use that will make my fog light color match my HID color in my 2013 F150? I'm seeing 9140/9145 but what does that mean?

Those are part numbers for LED's and you will not be able to match the headlights exactly per say, I think the stock headlight HID's are around 5500 Kelvin so if you convert to HID light in the fog lights that's the range to shoot for. Here is a pic of the 9140/9145's
