I am looking for a part number or vendor of a
1965 F250 4x4 horn brush and spring assembly
I can find sets for 2 wheel drive..but not 4x4
also a set of hi lo snail horns..
Not sure what to suggest other than calling the supplier and inquire. I am posting a link to the Master Catalog, if I read it correctly, the catalog list the Part Number as COAF-13A821, and see where Dennis Carpenter apparently list the same part number for all the Ford pickup brushes? Perhaps another member can provide a source.
Sorry, not computer literate, sad series of links perhaps member with experience can provide better pic's.
The numbers number dummy posts for my year F250 are for 2 wheel drive only.... I am guessing there is a distinction between the two sheel drive and 4 wheel drive brush assemblies..I do know there is also a distinction between the signal switch and wiring for that year also.. The 2 wheel drive is different than 4x4..
Thanks Dave!!!! I am pretty sure I had looked before...but by using your numbers.. I found that MACS carries this part!!
I would ask MACS, they should know. If the brush is anything like the 4X2 they are very flimsey so suggest purchasing at least 2; particularly if the brush is not that common. My 65 4X2, has another horn brush located in the turn signal assembly, did not see it in diagram, may be considered as part of the assembly, but it's the same size brush so if I have to pull the steering wheel I replace them both.
Thanks ND!!..could you look at Macs catalogue...page 235..item COAF-13821-A....is this the whole set up...or do I still need an insulator.. I ordered this a while back..waiting for it to come..
ND..pretty sure I answered my own question..I was finally able to find a google picture of an insulator...and I do not have one of those..i wll just order the correct ones from the sources you gave me!..Thanks

Insulator (13A822) shown in Dave's post #6...1st pic within steering wheel.
