hello all. I have a 97 f250 7.3 powerstroke. it cut off on me like it ran out of fuel. got it restarted and drove fine for a week. did the same thing again. got it restarted. next day quit again no restart. i have changed the manual fuel pump,CPS,EBPS with no luck. any ideas?
Does it cut out while you're rolling? If so, did you happen to notice if the tach dropped to zero immediately, or did it keep reading the engine RPM as it was coasting down?
it was full of fuel. i have changed the Ipr. got it running yesterday once for 13min and once for 5 min. when it quits it just shuts off. also when it was running i tried to hook up my scan tool and it quit immediately.

Sounds like you tried some generic OBD-II scanner. Our trucks aren't standard OBD-II, and generic scanners will do that. You need a Snap-On MT2500 or Modus, AutoEnginuity software, or an AeroForce Scangauge.
