Not sure if this is in the right section but I didn't see a tire section.
The 68 f350 is finally driving. It's time for tires. It has 2 brand new front bias ply tires and 4 badly dry rotted rear tires. Im gonna be towing a good bit with this truck. So I think bias ply tired are not gonna be a good choice. I've looked at commercial bfg's and the like but thats gonna modernize the truck to much. I wanna keep it old school looking.
With that said, do any of y'all know where to find recaps in the old sta traction tread design? Or something like that?
I agree going with modern radials as they are much safer as you said you are going to do much towing. Old bias plies would not be very comfortable for long distances. Another thing is that they are getting hard to find, especially if you need a 16.5. You can find the old traction tire treads but they are very noisy and howl at speed.
