wont start

i have 92 f150 302. truck wont start. cranks and cranks but wont turn over. i replaced the cap and rotor and still nothing. i pulled off the coil wire to check if i had spark and the coil pack was sparking like crazy when i hit the key. idk if thats bad. do i need a new coil pack? i have no spark at the plugs

check the coil wire at the dist. cap for spark

i did pull the coil wire. when i had the wire off and held in pliers, i had somene turn the key. when it was cranking, the coil itself (not the wire) was sparking like crazy

Make sure you put your capo and rotor on correctly and try to clarify when you say you pulled the coil wire did you pull it from the cap or from the coil? Pull it from the cap and test it if you haven't. If you have spark there then there is something most likely wrong with your cap and rotor installation.

sorry. i pulled the wire from the cap and had no spark on the cap side of the coil wire. when i had the coil wire in the pliers off the cap, the coil itself was sparking. it was like a firework show coming out of the coil

Spray some starter fluid into the intake while someone else is cranking it. If it fires off, then you know fuel delivery is your problem.
