Headgasket/Overhaul follow up. Good stuff
Three days after the big job, check my sig after 104K, I took a trip to see my father in upstate NY. I had set the cruise control for 80mph and maintained that as long as possible during the trip to Greeneville, NY and back to the seacoast of NH.
The lie-O-Meter read 18.5 MPG, i maintained EOT of 194 / ECT of 190f. Little variance at all. My Fan Clutch had been replaced and the irritating P0528 electric fan clutch no signal code is gone.
The truck ran flawlessly with ample power and she seemed happy to stretch her legs. This has been one of the biggest things that I have ever researched and had to learn about. The questions asked, the reading of the Tech Manual, the guidance received here helped me make some good decisions, ask some hard questions from the repair shops I spoke to, and made choices from the answers I got.
