Truck parked about 12 months but started and run regularly. Now no spark. Recent (within 10K miles) coil pack, wires and plugs. Pulled plug and appeared ok, minor soot and tan electrode. Sprayed starter fluid into throttle body... nothing. Not even a misfire or sputter.
fresher battery installed, Grounds all good. Checked fuses and all appear good.
Put cose scanner on and it says "No Link". Hmm. Once hefore this happened and it was a 20amp (yellow) fuse. but I never had no spark.
Motor turns over fine.
I know this is not a easy one, but can you help us get this going? ANY ideas are a help.
Like I said it always ran great; never had no spark.
This afternoon, I swaped some of the relays around (by recommendation) to no success.
How do I check the PCM power? Where can I start?
I know this is tough but this thing ALWAYS started and ran. For it to lose spark just baffels me, along with the 'no link' code.
Thank You.
If you have a copy of your owners manuel it has all the fuse locations in both panels.
For a start,
Look at #30 and #1.
#30 powers the coils.
#1 the data link.
Good luck.
Quick check for PCM power: Observe MIL at power on. If lit, the PCM is receiving power. Secondary check: Look for +5V at the TPS BRn/WT to TPS RED/GRY.
If no PCM power, check following:
CJB F30 - HOT in START/RUN - Required to energize PCM Power Relay
BJB F2 - Supplies power via NO PCM relays to following three fuses in the BJB:
F18 - PCM, MAF, IAC, injectors, energizes FP relay
F23 - Supplies power to various solenoids and upstream O2 heaters, IMRC, and cam sensor
F24 - downstream O2 heaters, auto transmission
