I thought the software fix was only for Job 1, with solenoids.

I'll definitely have it done then. Do you have the # handy?

Looks like the build date for the TSB only applies to those built before April 11, 2011. If yours is a June 2011 truck, you should've received the calibration (that I had to go back for) from the factory. I attached the TSB below.

Bummer, so much for that thought. Any TSBs for later trucks?

I haven't heard about any others after that TSB, but I will say I haven't been paying much attention since it pretty much corrected mine.

Last night, loaded with a 16' cargo trailer in-tow, dark 2 lane country road.......car ahead of me is going 15 under the limit, I pull out to pass, WOT (always driving it like a boss, ha ha), truck downshifts to second, runs up to redline and then &^%&^%&^ hits the rev-limiter as I am abreast of the car I'm attempting to pass......no shift into 3rd gear. It stays pegged at redine, bumps off the limiter/fuel-cutoff for about 3 seconds and then finds 3rd gear. Just long enough to completely scare the &^% out of me.

This would have been REALLY scary if it had been my 10,000 lb camper behind me. (though I wouldn't have been passing on a 2-lane under those circumstances)

Keep y'all posted!

The build date on my truck is 7/11. I have had no issues with weird shifting YET! Last thing I want is to experience what Jettix did.

When I get some extra cash I am definitely going to buy the tuner from 5 Star. I made that decision even before I read all these posts about the tranny.

So, does Mike guarantee is solves these tranny issues the guys are experiencing?

The build date on my truck is 04/03/12 and it has the same transmission issue that amtrak and Jettix describe. Somewhere on this forum I read that another owner installed the Five Star tune and it did not solve the problem. I was hoping that it would, but if Ford voids the warranty then the tune must wait. When the 5er is being pulled I just have to accept the fact that I'm not going to pass anyone on a 2-lane road because it does NOT have to be at WOT for 2nd gear/redline/screaming to occur.
It is also starting to display some slippage and hard downshifts when not pulling anything. I never drive it hard and in fact DW says I'm too pokey leaving stop lights.
Of course she is like an Indy 500 racer leaving stop lights per her DH !
