I bought my truck a few months ago. Just rolled 5k miles. since the day i got it it has seemed sluggish. I took it back to the dealer to have it checked out. Transmission guy said there was a problem, something wasnt right. He went for a ride with me, then drove the truck back. He took his boss with im for a ride. The next day the service manager calls and says everythings ok. They tested the other trucks on the lot and they all felt the same. Im calling b/s on that.
Heres my problem, you jump on it, engine revs up, truck barley moves. Tires, dont even think about breaking loose. Even in the rain. If you accelerating, you can hold the tack at 2k, and the truck goes from a dead stop up to 45 or so. Never shifts. Never changes rpm.
Im thinking torque converter. Any other ideas, or how to have a dealer look into this more. Because im average about 8 mpg, mostly highway. and thats without putting my foot into it. (Edit for truck info) I have a 2006 scab fx4 with trailer tow.
They have to spend more time to dignose the problem, mine still not fixed, it is not the trans. or TC. you need to involve Ford otherwise it may take a long time to fix or never.
