Fuel Filter

Hey I'm going Chang my fuel filter any special way you do it

Take the old one out, put the new one in, make sure the gasket is on correctly. Probably drain your fuel bowl at the same time.

I drain some fuel, not all.

And if you get the motorcraft filter, you need the right lid for it.

any of the other filters come with a lid.

Yeah, I don't really understand the advantage to replacing the lid with the filter. It's like they only manufacture them that way to make sure that you'll never be able to use Motorcrafts again.

I have used many kinds of filters but I have retained the Stock Lid ...I use a tool to remove the lid and never overtighten it ....I also think the o-ring seal is the most important thing...I tend to re-use the seals so I have many spares....
