You could mount the SGII on to your rear-view mirror and then
monitor EVERY sensor the computer provides to you?
When you want to see the Trans Temp - while towing
When you want to monitor the voltage
When you want to monitor the Coolant Temp, etc...
There is another 'custom' app now for a smart-phone using blue-tooth
that talks to an adaptor you plug-in to the ODBII port.
Just seems like these are so flexible vs. a dedicated gauge for everything.
Good luck!
Yeah but I want gauges, I just think more gauges are cool. I have a Tomtom and my satellite radio thingy on my dash already and dont want another rectangular screen somewhere. More gauges that match the factory ones just look neat I think.
I have one too, just installed this last summer. Mine came with the dual lock 3m stuff. Cleaned up the windshield and pod good with acetone before sticking the 3m velcro stuff on. Holding up so far. If it does fail I'll fab up a bracket for it.
Are those gauges bigger than the normal size? They do look bigger than the ones that Peace has.

Seems like a different pod manufacturer? Anyway, these are quite close to the mirror but do not inhibit the mirrors complete rotation. You do have to grab where the mirror and pod wont be against your hand...but no big deal. They look awesome too!
I have the four way one. I had people say that it wouldn't stay up there, but I really haven't had a problem. Granted I don't have all four gauges in it yet. It's just sitting up there right now though until I get the engine in to warrant them. It's nice because it blocks sun from coming in there where the visors can't reach. These pics are actually from when I had it in my other Excursion, but I just moved it over and still didn't tape it up. The mirror holds it just fine. It has never fallen, but it does loosen up a little over time, so I just push the mirror back up a little and it's good. I got these three gauges with the rollover, so I just stuck them in there. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep them or replace them. I've been thinking about reserving that last spot for a DP tuner control, which is why I got the four place.
I actually have an Excursion badge behind it so it looks better from the outside. I have it wedged in between the glass and the mirror wiring. It hasn't moved/tilted either:

Nope, they are normal 2 1/16" glowshift gauges. I went with glowshift because they match the stock gauges color and look. The pod is from Clay (site sponsor). Perfect color match, perfect fit, fast shipping, and has the good velcro.

Glowshift gauges are nice. I've got two (or is it three?) of them sitting in the garage waiting to be installed.
The Glowshift company is less than 10 miles from me, but they don't sell direct. They have answered every one of my 4 calls to them quickly and courteously. Nice customer support. (geese I sound like a shill)
I found a company that puts 2 digit gauges into 1 standard guage. Dual Gauges
I have the fuel-pressure + voltage on my A-piller.
They install into the standard 2 1/16 opening and has a 12-18"
long button on a cord to reset/re-configure the gauge.
shots from my gallery... each sensor has it's own high/low settable alarm lights
So can someone tell me what the hell is going on here? This is the boost gauge in the Gauge Works 18-017 overhead pod. It wont even slide all the way in! The studs for the mounting bracket hit the back, and there definitely isnt any room to hook up connections or tubing. WTF??? It will slide in the hole on the left, but you have to turn it 90 degrees to do so, which I will not have, and I want the boost gauge in the right hole anyway. I dont have the other two gauges yet, so I was just looking at everything, and realized that this doesnt look right at all.
AAAA-HA! Well the 90* fitting is the best idea ive gotten yet. I didnt know there was such a thing. (Im really clueless when it comes to electrical and things like vacuum/boost fittings). I dont want it in the center though, because the right hole is partially blocked by the overhead console, and I dont want my EGTs or tranny temps being blocked. Thats why I got the 3 gauge pod, so the 2 left ones would be on my side and not blocked. Maybe I can put the boost gauge in the right side with the 90 degree.
I can't take credit Stu. A buddy of mine asked me to relay the info after he saw your post.

Your overhead partially blocks the right side? Which gauge pod did you get?
Do you have a boost gauge in the overhead pod?
Yep, in the middle.
From drivers side to passenger side, it's EGT, boost, trans temp.
Ok, yeah. I thought you meant completely blocked from view.
I find when you lean forward to look at the gauge face, you automatically compensate for the overhead. Plus, in my case, I still have yet to find a glue that will hold the pod to the windshield. So mine sits lower, on top of the rear view mirror. It looks terrible but there's nothing that will hold the pod up and keep it attached to the windshield.
Ok, crisis averted! I sent an email to Autometer and a technician named Cory responded with some detailed pics and instructions on this particular setup. The 90* fitting is the key and he is even going to send me the fitting! I have to say that is great customer service and I have to give credit to Autometer for that.
Sorry for the rant, I was having a bad day yesterday!

Looking from the drivers seat mine is blocked some as well also the reason I put the boost gauge on the right. (see pic below for drivers view) I had to use short studs on mine and I carefully stuck the hose out of the gauge way down into the pods crease so it could make the bend.
