I just got a fleet 2012 F-350, and it didn't come with a center console. Okay, it did, a cheap piece of plastic that has two cup holders and that is about it. I would like to buy a center console to put in but can not find a place to buy one. I even went to the local ford dealer and they don't sell any center consoles. Also, google doesn't come up with any sites that have good replacement consoles.
Does anybody know of a place where you can buy a center console, I have a floor 4x4 shift and a radio installed just under the dash so it cant go right to the front. I dont need anything fancy, just something that goes between the two front seats that has a few cup holders and some storage. Any recommendations?
Ok, so do you have the bucket seats w/ the mini console? You're SOL from Ford, the only center consoles they have for the higher trim packages go all the way to the dash. I doubt they even have anything aftermarket yet, they haven't been offering that option very long. I'm going to say your best bet is to fab one yourself out of wood - should be plenty of room w/ the bucket seats at least.
Other than that, you can swap in a 40/20/40 bench seat w/ the fold down console. That's what I've got - it's only got 2 cup holders and the storage bin isn't huge, probably 3-4" deep, but it holds quite a bit of misc. smaller junk. Is there a pull out cup holder on the dash anymore? Could have ordered it w/ that seat and saved $400.
As Georgia Super Duty pointed out you could try junkyards, I don't think the older bucket seats w/ consoles go as far forward. AFAIK all the seats still interchange.
Check EBay, I have seen brand new Super Duty consoles that are pulls for custom trucks on there when I was looking to replace the one in my Dodge with something nicer.
Looks like the 2012-2013 with manual 4x4 shifter can only have the center folding seat, or a mini console that looks rediculous. Not sure if the older 2008-2011 console will fit in it's place?
Agreed. This is the first time I've ever seen one, had to look it up to figure out what he was talking about. The amazing thing is it costs $4-500 extra over the flip down! It's a good idea in theory, if you didn't need the middle seat it would be nice to have a big deep console for storage like they used to have but IMO Ford really missed the mark this time. Anyone know how long they've offered this one?
