I just bought a 2012 F250. It came with the jump seat in the front and i really want the console. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this. The interior color is black. I would consider a trade with someone.
I think you would have to change both seats along with the center. Plus the console buts up to the dash somehow too. Since with the seats are buckets when you order it that way. Ordering it that way is the best since it does not cost that much more. I think it is only $300 for the captain chairs. Now if you change your looking at $1000's for the seats.

Are the seats actualy different? or just the center?
I am also one of the folks who really want a 2011 or 2012 console. My truck is ordered and will have a gray vinyl center jump seat. I am willing to part with this seat that will be brand new but am interested in purchasing a console regardless. Please let me know if you have one for sale!
I had a bench in my 06 and it is the most uncomfortable seat I ever sat in. These are much more comfortable IMO. If you have the center console, I'm sure someone will trade you.

I don't believe the seats are different. 1 way comes with the center console, 1 way it comes with the center jump seat.
The seats are different, the console comes as a 40/20/40. And the bench is a 60/40 with the arm rest on the 60 side. At least that's how it was when I ordered my 2011. That would mean different seats too.

What are you talking about? 40/20/40 is called a "bench" with the "jump seat" model but is really individual seats. A drivers seat, a passenger seat and a middle jump seat where the back folds down into an armrest. That center come out and had you ordered it with console, the console would go there instead. The console model is called 40/console/40 whereas the jump seat is replaced by a console. There are other differences like ducting, but seats are the same, except king ranch seats of course. A few years ago, there was a seat that had armrests, those are no long gone. There is no more "bench" seats on superduty's.
I know this because my last truck '08 was a center console and my '11 is/was a 40/20/40 until I converted into a 40/console/40 and my 12 XL cab chassis came with individual bucket seats. 40/20/40.
