I hope he gets it, drives our values up but more so that its not a game some S.O.B. is playing.
I am going thru that right now over the crew cab I had on a couple of weeks ago, the guy said all the right words and made all the promises I could fall for and now hes a no show, wont answer the phone and no responses to email piece of garbage punk.
I don't get it. Its maybe a $6-7k truck with a $3k motor. Its nice, and I'll give you that its rare, but I don't see $20k out of it. "new paint" makes me nervous, you don't know whats under it. And the truck itself is basically stock.
I'm wondering if he has friends bidding it up so when he relists it people will bid higher? There are so many ebay games people play like that.

My guess is a lot of the "no show" or auctions ended early on eBay are ones just trying to place a value on a car/truck they are trying to insure. Kind of like a poor man's appraisal. Not the way I'd go about it, and not sure it would stand up for insurance valuation purposes, but I've heard of it and wouldn't put it past some people.
Not by any means saying this is what is going on with this auction.
I'm not trying to say anything bad about the truck. it looks really nice! But I just wouldn't ever see that exact truck minus the cummins going for more than $8k. I'd be blown away if it went for over $10k. So I'm surprised a cummins swap, which is $5k on the high end, would add another $5k in value...
